Tackle Your Tuesday: Fitness Trends

fitness trends

It is hard to believe that we are approaching the middle of April already, but life must move on. This is usually the time of year when we can reflect back on our new years resolutions, and it is sad to say, but most of us have already given up on them. Many Americans vowed to run daily, try new class, or begin a new program. With so many people off track, how do we get them back? According to an article written in US News Health and Wellness there are fitness trends that top the charts every year. Maybe some of these can get people back into the swing of things. Based on that list I have composed my top three picks that can help people get back into the swing of things.

1. Body Weight Training

This no cost method is sure to get your heart pumping and muscles stronger. What is better resistance than your own body? It is the most basic way to exercise, so instead of always grabbing for your weights, use push-ups, pull-ups, dips, lunges, and body squats to get you back in shape.

2. Group Personal Training

It’s no mystery people enjoy working out more when in a group. The level of support received from a partner or several others is a sure way to keep you motivated and on track. Who knows maybe a friendly competition will arise! 🙂

3. Exercise Programs For Children

Our future is in our children. Exercising with your children is a great way to begin healthy habits that will last a long time. I know I have my 6 year old and my 3 year old as workout buddies at home. They love to move. Kids are full of energy, positive, and great motivators.

Well there you have it. Remember when picking a trend, it is important to find what works for you. Pick something that fits into your schedule and personality. I hope you enjoyed my three picks for 2014 trends that will not only help you look better but feel better too!
