Thoughtful Thursday: Stretch, Replenish, and Rest

I love how active I am on a daily basis, but today by body was screaming for a little R&R. It is important to remember that rest is just as important as exercise. Follow these three steps and you’ll will be on your way to a speedy recovery.

1. Stretch.

Stretching increases your range on motion and blood flow. Although it can be an exercise in itself, the benefits will allow you to recovery quickly and responsibly by decreasing your risk of future injury.

replenish

2. Replenish.

After a hard workout make sure you put the nutrients you lost while exercising back into your body. Eating a well balanced meal and drink plenty of fluids.

rest

3. Rest.

Rest is a fundamental element is an exercise cycle. Make it a day you can stick to, and find a place of comfort for you.

So remember and try my tips to stretch, replenish, and rest. Then get back on that horse to continue in your journey of wellness.
