Motivational Monday: Can’t get the best of me!

This quote was exactly what I felt today. I almost let life and other people’s issues get the best of me today. I don’t like feeling out of my element or overwhelmed so I took the day and turn all the negative I was feeling and made it a positive. Anyone that truly knows me knows my stress reliever is writing and running,  so I did both. In the end a blessing and an opportunity came out of it. No matter what is getting you down you have the power to make a change. When life gets you down it is the renewing of your mind that will bring you out. I hope this blesses someone today.

Thoughtful Thursday : Walk and Talk Sessions

Every week day my coworker and I take advantage of our first break and go on a walk. I has been a great stress reliever,  and an even better way to break up the day. We discuss almost everything from life to health and fitness. It is an active yet fun way to keep our bodies moving. Just a reminder to stay smart. Check the weather, drink plenty of water,  and pick a partner that will be consistent. Our walk and talk sessions are a helpful and happy way to conquer the day. Now GO!

Wellness Wednesday: Wellness Works

It’s no surprise to anyone that a healthy employee is more present at work. I know when I feel well I work better. It is important for us to take care of our bodies from day to day so we can work effectively and efficiently. So I pose the question,  “How would you rate your wellness?” Are you getting enough sleep, eating a balance diet,  and exercising regularly? Is there something you can change? Maybe your attitude on your morning commute could be better. I always think the little things matter. Small changes can make a big change in your day. What do you think?… How well is your wellness, and how is it affecting your work day?

Motivational Monday: You’re not alone.

Happy Monday everyone! Man life can throw at so many challenges.  If I did not have my faith in God I could truly collapse, but I thank God for strength. As I was watching TV tonight, a commercial by Cigna Healthcare came on. Their “pitch” was to remind people that they were not in this alone. They stressed that they would be there every step of the way. That is exactly how I feel. Whatever I may go through, I am not alone. The same thing applies to fitness and weight loss. You are not in this alone. As a wellness coach, I love being there to encourage people,  and watch them finish a workout or lose weight. In return it inspires me and keeps me motivated for the future to come. So tonight remember you are not alone. There is always someone in your corner!

Tackle Your Tuesday: Help Themselves First

“They have to be willing to help themselves before anyone else can help them.” Have you ever heard that saying? Happy Tuesday everyone, and the phrase above couldn’t be more true. You have to want to change. You have to want your goals more than anything. It is just like exercise. I can encourage you all day long to get up and get out and move, but if you don’t make that first step of change it will never get done. For example I have had a handful of people express to me that they need to start a workout regime.  I tell them I’m here and ready when they are, but it never happens. I don’t want anyone who is under Well & Fit to look back and wished they would have. Put the negative thoughts and fears away and let’s go for it!
