Hahaha… hehehe… lol… smiley face! Did you know that laughing is actually a cardiovascular exercise? That’s right… laughing actually promotes the muscles in your heart to pump harder. You’ve heard the saying,  “Laughter is the best medicine,” well its ture!  Laughter reduces stress and helps in dealing with difficult emotions. Anyone who has ever been through a tough time can validate that laughter can be your medicine that will help you get through the obstacles of life. A great sense of humor can go a long way. Laugh at yourself,  tell a joke, watch a funny program. Find the healthy joy of life by laughing, and don’t forget to spread the giggles!

Motivational Monday: Step Towards Your Fitness

image

Happy Monday everyone! Have you been struggling for a while on how and when to start an exercise regimen? With so many “new trends” out there, it can be kind of complicated, but I have the perfect solution to solve your problem, just walk! Follow these beginner tips and you’ll be moving in no time.

1. Start off walking and work your way up to jogging: walking has the same benefits as walking, just stay with it.

2. Decide what days of the week you can commit to and stick to them: make the number of days realistic. For example don’t start off at 7 days a week when you know you can only commit to 3.

3. Lastly decide how many minutes you will engage in walking: Don’t overdue this area. I suggest starting at 30 minutes and work from there.

Remember we all have to start somewhere. It is never too late, and there will never be a perfect time. I hope this help, and always…
