This morning while I was waiting at a stop light I saw a woman in front of me smoking a cigarette. She continually took puff after puff, and it had me thinking. Even though she is probably fully aware of the effects of cigarettes she continued to inhale and exhale putting that toxin in her body. I just thought it amazing as adults we will continually put something bad in our bodies despite the long term health effects.
I just want to encourage all of you to be more aware of what you let into your body. Whether its food, smoke, etc. Even certain people (Yes I am talking about SEX!). Your body is to be treasured, and you only have one, so fuel it to work for you!

How did you do with your mindful eating today? I did pretty good. Just like any relationship, your relationship with food takes work as well. Remember food is fuel, and it can elevate our mood or bring us down. It can give us energy or it can make us feel sluggish. Begin to develop a better relationship with food, and see how your body will change for the better. 🌿💖💪🏽
I will be practicing mindful eating all rhis week. It is more than exercise. It is fueling your body the right way. Exercise is only 20% of the equation. 80% is nutrition. Let’s get after it!
Fit For Thought: Be Kind To Yourself
A lot of times I can find myself being my own worst critic. The result is I under up worried, overwhelmed, overworked, and extremely stressed. This is just a friendly reminder to myself and to you to be kind to yourself. Mistakes will be made and will come a dime a dozen, but there is only one you. ☺❤

Hi Everyone and Happy Thursday to you all! I have a confession to make… I have been eating terribly since Saturday. I don’t know what is going on! I just want comfort food! It is no coincidence that yesterday just so happen to be National Greasy Food Day. Although I have been indulging in bad foods this week, I am still reminded of what these foods will do to me in the long run.
Consider how you feel after you eat greasy food. You feel heavy, tired, and sluggish. It is more than likely you will be good and ready for a nap after. The fact is greasy food is just fat. Too much saturated, trans fat, and bad cholesterol will eventually clog your arteries and lead to all kinds of health problems.
Immediate affects may include weight gain, bloating, and acne. Long term affects include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart disease or stroke. I am sure most of you already know this information. My intentions are not to harp on you, but to give you a sense of awareness. Although I love the warm feeling of comfort food, I know I have to make smart decisions for my long term health. That is not to say I won’t have bad food every once in a while, but everyday is too much. We should eat with the purpose of nourishing our bodies; not destroying it. I will definitely try to do better for the remainder of the week. I hope you do too. Be well you guys.
