Happy Wednesday y’all! I am back at it again with more kid’s health and fitness tips. Today I want you to remember to make it a family activity. Not only do we lead by example, but I have definitely learned that younger siblings learn from their older siblings. 9 times out of 10 if Jordan is doing it, Malia wants to do it too. It is a cycle, and it is surprisingly fun too! Make an effort to exercise together as well as choose new nutritious food together. Watch the change in the whole family. 🌿💖💪🏽 #livelovewellandfit #kidsfitnessweek #iamwellandfit #wednesday #wellnesswednesday #fitmom #fitness #health #exercise #wellness #wellandfitcoaching
It’s Tuesday and we are still talking kid’s health and fitness. Word to all the parents out there… WE LEAD BY EXAMPLE. My kids know no difference than to see Mommy and Daddy exercising. When you think they are not watching guess what they are. Let’s lead our children into living a healthy lifestyle for years to come! 🌿💖💪🏽 #livelovewellandfit #iamwellandfit #tuesday #fitmom #fitness #health #exercise #wellness #wellandfitcoaching #throwback #mommydaughter #stretching
Last week we began talking about children’s health and fitness, and we are going to continue this week because I was super busy preparing for my workshop last Saturday.
…so let’s throw it back to when I had the honor of exercising with these cuties at my daughters school. The key to children’s fitness is just to keep it fun. We played balloon volleyball and had a veggie pass relay. Every activity was fun and kept their interest! Start them young and hopefully they’ll continue for a lifetime! 🌿💖💪🏽

One of my favorite types of movement (beside running of course) is dance, and I truly believe there’s magic in it. It lifts your spirits by making you laugh or cry. It makes me feel sexy but also inspired. I love it because you can do it by yourself or with others, and if you’re like me you are getting double exercise because I sing and dance at the same time! Whether you are working it on dance floor or watching a performance the movement of dance is spirit moving in my opinion. I dare you to try it tomorrow in your own time. It will make you feel amazing! 🌿💖💪🏽💃🏽 #healingthroughmovement
They say laughter is the best medicine for a reason!… and they also say that misery loves company. I am so avid on not feeding into the misery. Humor is one of my top strengths so I use it often to create a space full of laughter for those that may be looking for a pity party. No DEBBIE DOWNERS over here! So do me a favor tonight and LAUGH. Watch a movie or stand up comedy special and laugh till you cry. Have some fun!
“Not only do I love to dance but I feel it loosens people up if they can see another adult having a good time. It’s okay to create opportunities where you can just rock out!” -me
Whether on the dance floor or in the car or while washing the dishes take some time to just dance! Not only is it an exercise, but it is super fun. Don’t be afraid to party. Don’t be afraid to have fun.
Sometimes the best time you can have is reliving an old memory. Can you believe that? I wanted to be a dentist!… Me!… and of course I wanted to run in the Olympics. I will always be a track girl at heart. This not only was fun to reflect, but it also made me smile. What did you want to do when you were a kid?…and what are you doing now? Does it make you happy? Are you having fun living your present life? 🌿💖💪🏽
You are uniquely you, and that includes the calories you burn. Don’t be fooled by being generalized. There are different requirements for everyone. I was reading an article on msn.com health and fitness about how the treadmill at them gym is lying to you. It stated that the machines can overestimate how many calories you burn by 40%. That is a substantial percentage.
I have always tried to tell people that you may have to do more or less exercise depending on your height, weight, geneder, body type, and workout intensity. Every calorie that we burn is really customized to everything about our body makeup. So just as a word of advice, the next time you are in the gym, and think you are burning what the treadmill tells you, think again. I encourage you to read the article as well as they have the best devices for tracking caloric burn (https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/fitness/the-max-calories-you-can-burn-in-a-workout/ar-BBK8mRg).
Also remember you can’t out exercise a bad diet. Change will occur when you change you eating lifestyle along with exercise. That is the best way. I hope you all had a great Tuesday, and be well you guys!
