We use movement everyday. From the simplest tasks to the more complicated ones, but are you being intentional? Are you setting aside the time to exercise? You can also do small things like park further to accomplish more steps or take the stairs. Even household chores can be an intentional physical activity. For example washing the dishes, mopping the floor, or cleaning the table and counter tops. All this can count as a physical activity. Just think “ALWAYS BE INTENTIONAL”

One of my favorite types of movement (beside running of course) is dance, and I truly believe there’s magic in it. It lifts your spirits by making you laugh or cry. It makes me feel sexy but also inspired. I love it because you can do it by yourself or with others, and if you’re like me you are getting double exercise because I sing and dance at the same time! Whether you are working it on dance floor or watching a performance the movement of dance is spirit moving in my opinion. I dare you to try it tomorrow in your own time. Too often the day goes by without us sharing a kind word with anyone. The best was to lift yourself up is by starting with others. Giving encouragement to those in need is one of the most rewarding actions that you can do. So get to it! It will go along way! 🌿💖💪🏽

This morning while I was waiting at a stop light I saw a woman in front of me smoking a cigarette. She continually took puff after puff, and it had me thinking. Even though she is probably fully aware of the effects of cigarettes she continued to inhale and exhale putting that toxin in her body. I just thought it amazing as adults we will continually put something bad in our bodies despite the long term health effects.
I just want to encourage all of you to be more aware of what you let into your body. Whether its food, smoke, etc. Even certain people (Yes I am talking about SEX!). Your body is to be treasured, and you only have one, so fuel it to work for you!

Exercising is amazing, but don’t push yourself so hard where you ignore your body experiencing fatigue, dehydration, and pain. Extra is not always better. I can remember trying to do extra when I ran track, and the result was the feeling of being burnt out! I wasn’t allowing the time for my body to heal and become stronger. Recovery is part of the process. Be mindful of your body. 🌿💖💪🏽
